But if you want even more power behind the wheel, the EX trim and above are equipped with a turbocharged version of that engine with the ability to generate 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. 

With the standard engine, you can expect to get up to 29 mpg on the highway (FWD) and 25 mpg on the highway (AWD).[1] The turbo engine maintains the 29 mpg highway rating for front-wheel drive models while the all-wheel drive models only dip to 27 mpg on the highway.[1]

If you want to take things to the next level and skip the gas pump more often, choose the 2022 Sorento Hybrid or the 2022 Sorento Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV). Both models are exceptionally efficient and fun to drive, thanks to their Full Parallel Hybrid Systems. The Sorento Hybrid gets up to 35 mpg on the highway (FWD) and 33 mpg on the highway (AWD).[1] With its standard all-wheel drive, the Sorento PHEV gets up to 33 MPGe and has an all-electric range of 32 miles.[1]
