If you’re in the market for an efficient hybrid SUV, consider the 2023 Kia Niro. This stylish vehicle starts at just $26,490 and comes with a long list of premium standard amenities.[1] From its advanced tech to its outstanding fuel economy that saves you money at the pump, you can’t go wrong with the Kia Niro Hybrid!

The 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid is available at five trim levels: LX, EX, EX Touring, SX, and SX Touring.

Incredible performance

The Niro Hybrid is powered by a parallel hybrid system, which consists of an electric motor and a peppy 1.6-liter engine. This amounts to an EPA-estimated, best-in-class 53 mpg in the city and 54 mpg on the highway, meaning you can make fewer stops at the gas station.[2] Not only that, but thanks to regenerative braking technology, unused power is sent back to the SUV’s battery to improve its already impressive range of up to 588 miles. The new Niro also comes with the ability to switch between Eco and Sport driving modes for ultimate customization behind the wheel.

Superior safety

To make every drive safer, the 2023 Niro Hybrid is equipped with a long list of standard driver-assist systems. With sensors and cameras, features like Forward Collision Avoidance, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Rear-Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist add a bit more confidence no matter where you’re headed. Highway driving is also a breeze thanks to Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, and Driver Attention Warning.

Whenever you have someone or something in the back seat, the Niro will remind you via the Rear Occupant Alert system. This feature sends visual and audio alerts so nothing gets left behind. Safe Exit Warning also helps remind you of your surroundings, as it sends a chime when vehicles are approaching you as you exit the Niro.

Advanced technology

In addition to the technology that helps to keep you safe, the Niro Hybrid also comes with a ton of advanced tech that keeps you connected and entertained. The standard 8-inch touch-screen display works seamlessly with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® so you can use all of your favorite compatible apps on the go. You can also connect your devices via Bluetooth® wireless technology or through the front USB-A and USB-C data/charging ports. If you want to splurge a bit and move up to the EX trim, you’ll get a larger 10.25-inch touch-screen display with navigation, SiriusXM® satellite radio, a wireless phone charger, and Kia Connect.

Spacious interior

The five-passenger Kia Niro Hybrid is categorized as a compact crossover, but you’ll feel anything but cramped in its cabin. The spacious interior offers 41.5 inches of front legroom and 39.8 inches of rear legroom (more than the Toyota RAV4). When you don’t have rear passengers, fold down the second-row 60/40 seats to utilize the 63.7 cubic feet of space behind the front seats. Along with how roomy it is, the 2023 Niro Hybrid is also comfortable and convenient. All models come with dual-zone automatic climate control, illuminated sun visor vanity mirrors, a one-touch auto-up/down driver’s window, and a bevy of cup and bottle holders.

Exterior design

For 2023, the Niro family of vehicles (which includes the Hybrid, Plug-In Hybrid, and EV) received a complete design overhaul. Harnessing the “Opposites United” design philosophy, the new Niro takes inspiration from nature and technology. The exterior can be painted in a collection of vibrant colors like Fire Orange Metallic or Runway Red as well as subtler tones like Graphite Gray or Aurora Black Pearl. Plus, every 2023 Niro Hybrid comes with power-adjustable heated side view mirrors, a heated windshield, and heated rear glass so you can tackle Maine winters with ease.
